How did everyone's ringing in the New Year go? Our hopeful plans did not turn out like I thought they would, so the boys and I ended up going to the Party of the Year like we originally planned.

The taxi service was busy all night so we decided to ride our bikes to the park. It was a nice stroll - beautiful weather - and everyone was out having a great time celebrating the approaching new year.

The Party of the Year was a good time. There was a huge LED ferris wheel, a mechanical bull, a foam party pit, and around 30 food trucks hosted by "Eat the Street". There were a ton of people there of all ages. It truly was a party.

It ended up costing $40 to get in (I though it was freeeee) and $6 a beer on top of that. Blah - oh well I knew I was going to spend money anyway. Once we got further into the park, there were about 4 stages (that I saw) with DJs or bands playing. People were running around and dancing like crazy. Fireworks were shot off every hour on the hour starting at 9pm. As soon as we got there, the Red Bull skydivers put on a sparkler show while skydiving right above us. As soon as they landed there was a firework display. It was a great way to start out the night.

We ended up stay until a little after midnght and decided to head back to Waikiki. By the time we biked back, most of the bars (or at least he ones we wanted to go to) were closing so we decided to head back home to hang out some more and that was the end of our night.

It could've been better, but then it could've been worse. I'm just glad I got my New Years kiss from the one I love. Cheers to 2013!

I am completely content with staying in bed all day today, but instead I am having a girls night with my old neighbor Nikki who is in ton visiting.
