Hawaii Hikes: Diamond Head

So today is another day of work for me - if you're in the area come in for a breakfast burrito or Bloody Mary :)

Yesterday was a nice day for me. The night before the roomies and I went out and had a good time so everyone slept in for a while (except me of coarse). When Mike got up I asked him to take me on a hike, but since the surf was good on the south shore he didn't really want to. We came to a compromise of hiking Diamond Head since it was a short one and close to town.

It was a little over two miles from our starting point and only took us a little over an hour to complete. It was a great, quick work out!

Like I said, it was a really good work out. I could feel the burn in my legs.

Mike wanted to catch a sunset surf session so he took me home and while he was out I decided to do Jillian's 30 Day Shred (I like to alternate days with running, or every day anyways). I changed it up a little and stepped up to level three.. and boy was it an intense work out after that hike - but with that said, I'm SO proud of how far I've come in my training for this Great Aloha Run coming up in a month!!

After M was done with surfing and I had showered off the nasty sweat, we decided to have a little date night compliments of a gift card my mom gave us for Christmas. Red Lobster was the place.. and crab legs was my feast! Yummm
